THE EDUCATOR IN ME...

As an educator with over a decade of experience, my teaching philosophy centers on supporting student growth through structured guidance, critical inquiry, and creative exploration. I specialize in lens-based practices, blending technical proficiency with conceptual development, and helping students understand how their work connects to broader cultural and historical frameworks.

I strive to cultivate a welcoming and adaptive learning environment where teaching methods evolve alongside student needs. My interdisciplinary approach—drawing from history, philosophy, and cultural studies—encourages students to situate their creative work within meaningful contexts. This philosophy reflects my own artistic and research practice, which spans photography, video, sound, and performance, often engaging with themes related to personal and collective experience.

Outside the classroom, I draw on my experience as a curator and practicing artist to connect students with exhibition and collaboration opportunities. My aim is to help students build confidence, develop a strong creative voice, and contribute thoughtfully to today’s visual culture.
