THE EDUCATOR IN ME...

As an educator with over a decade of experience, my teaching philosophy centers on fostering student success through structured guidance, critical inquiry, and creative experimentation. I specialize in lens-based practices, combining technical mastery with conceptual depth, and helping students situate their work within broader cultural and societal contexts.

I focus on fostering an inclusive, dynamic learning environment where my teaching methods evolve alongside the growth of my students, ensuring that each learner receives the support and challenge they need to succeed. My interdisciplinary approach, informed by history, politics, philosophy, and sociology, allows students to situate their creative work within broader contemporary cultural conversations. This teaching philosophy aligns with my own artistic and research practice, which spans photography, video, sound, and performance, often exploring themes of identity, representation, and displacement.

Beyond the classroom, I leverage my experience as a curator and professional artist to connect students with exhibitions and collaborative opportunities. My goal is to empower them to think critically, create fearlessly, and become meaningful contributors to the cultural landscape.
